FAQ

Q   Can I reserve a space for me and my friends/colleagues/guests?
A   The events are not seated so there is no reserved seating available. The event runs in a cocktail style so you will be walking from table to table to talk to each winemaker.

Q   How many wines will be available to taste?
 The number of wines being shown by each winemaker is discretionary but is usually around 6 wines. With 20 winemakers in attendance the total number of wines available to taste will exceed 100.

Q   Can I buy wine to take home with me?
A  Unfortunately QLD liquor licensing does not allow our winemakers to sell wines to take away on the night. All winemakers will have order forms on hand and we encourage you to order wine to have delivered to you. Most will have some special deals for the event so make sure you take full advantage! We are happy to confirm that 100% of the proceeds of the sales go directly to the winery.

Q   Do you serve other drinks?
A   
The event itself is a wine tasting so there are no other drinks provided (aside water of course!). However in all venues a bar will be open and there will be other drinks available for purchase, including beers and spirits.

Q   How much food is served? Is it a meal?
 It is probably easiest to describe the food as substantial canapes. The exact menu varies from venue to venue, but will be sliders, mini fish and chips, skewers, that kind of thing. It’s there to help you power through your tasting but it is not a meal. We recommend you eat something before you arrive as 3 hours of tasting can be quite intense!

Q   How can I be certain to get my food?
 Every guest will receive a voucher for their food on arrival. We’ve all been to ‘those’ events where the canapes are circulated but only a few people standing in the right spot get to eat! This is not that kind of event – you will receive your voucher and you will get fed!

Q   Can you cater for my dietary requirements?
 Each venue will be able to handle all standard dietary requirements provided that advance notification is given. We will email everyone who has booked tickets in the week prior to the event to advise of any allergies so it is important that the person booking is able to answer on behalf of all their guests. WE REGRET THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO CATER TO DIETARY REQUIREMENTS NOT PROVIDED IN ADVANCE.

Q   Can I bring my children?
A   All events are wine tastings and are unsuitable for anyone under the age of 18. We recommend that you organise baby sitters and enjoy a well earned afternoon/night off!
